- Follow the heating instructions on the package to prepare your meals in the microwave.
- Typical times are around 3 to 4 minutes. Variations do occur in microwave ovens, so you may need to adjust the timing.
- Let your meal stand for two minutes before eating.
1. Check your microwave’s wattage. Our meals were tested in a 1100-watt microwave. If your microwave has a lower or higher wattage, you’ll need to cook longer for a lower wattage and less for a higher wattage. Just be sure your cooked meal reaches a temperature of 165°F.
2. Follow the instructions. Always read the cooking instructions carefully. If you notice that your microwave isn’t cooking your meal evenly, here’s how you can troubleshoot. Pause cooking half-way through heating. For the meals that can be stirred; gently pull back the plastic cover, stir and recover. For those that can’t, rotate package.
3. Let it rest. Your meal will continue to cook after it’s heated. To prevent your meal from drying out, keep it covered and allow it to stand for about 2 minutes.
